Time line: Orange Gismos Site was published and a link was placed on the index page of one of my websites. Google re-indexed the site on February 7, 2009 and the new page with the link was displayed on February 9.
On that day I did a search for Orange Gismos on Google and found the new site on page one, position #2.
The site then disappeared after the initial ranking. This is not usual due to Googles method of indexing and the numerous deca centers. We will wait for the site to reappear.
February 13 the site reappeared.. ranking appears to be in #2 place on Google Search for orange gizmos. Cache date shows February 1. It seems Google found this website on it's own.
Orange Gizmos pages have appeared on Yahoo (#1 and 2 position for Orange Gizmo), Alta Vista (# 2 for Orange Gismo and # 4 for Orange Gizmos) and AlltheWeb.- # 1 placing . Site is indexed on MSN at this time (2/10/2009) but not showing in the SERPS at this time.
More information will be added as the website establishes itself.
This site had only 3 pages, no custom domain name and has less than the optimum text on pages with essentially no links.
Ranking a site is not difficult if you can create a unique subject that can fit into a nitch market.

Every sucessful website MUST place well in Search Engine Ranking Pages. This subject and the proceedures are not easy in the beginning. You must build a knowledge base and understand the process and even then there can be factors that prevent a site from ranking high in some searches.
